An advice as a veteran collector of rare books, maps, signed letters, and documents on India.
The antiquity of India in all aspects has always thrilled me, and no other country can speak of the variety and diversity that completes India!
I have been collecting since 1982, and my vast collection is in India, UK, and in France.
It's my desire to assist fellow collectors on their journey into this incredible world of collection.
Collection is about the completeness of a category: like say; the maps of India from the earliest time to the present!
My oldest map is from 1570!
Collection is hardly about buying;
but about those little things that raises your interest, it's about stories, about the attractive colours, about the earlier owners, the history, the significance of the item, the preservation and how it has endured the test of time, those writings on the margins of the books by the earlier owners and sometimes on the rarity of the item.
Writings on some items of my collection can be read in the following link:

There are several newspaper articles on my collection and they are on Google: Sunil Baboo
Please share your questions and I will do my best to reply suitably!
My email address is: linusbaboo@gmail.com
Looking forward!
Best!
