This is a very rare photo

Of Louis Mountbatten!

Often seen as a sombre individual and reflective of his administrative roles as Viceroy, Commander of the Fleet, Head of NATO and his many advisory posts in Great Britain, this above photo of him, shows him as an animate individual without the administrative accoutrement.

Taken during one of his visits to Papua New Guinea, he is seen reveling with the locals at a party!

This photo is a part of my sub-collection on Lord  Louis Mountbatten of Burma.
